Our Trip to Texas

I am finally getting around to posting pictures from our trip to Texas. Who knew how tough it would be to get ourselves ready to go out there and get settled back in once we were home? I had no idea how much a trip could throw off a 10 1/2 month old's schedule! We are managing okay but still feel like we are little over our heads with all that is going on in our lives right now.
Our trip to Texas was wonderful! For those of you who don't know, we headed down there for a very special occasion. It was Tom's grandmother's 90th birthday. One of the parts that was so special was that Tom's grandmother, Mary, was going to meet our little Lelia for the first time and she was named after Mary's mom. It was very special indeed. It was such a wonderful thing for me to see my daughter with her great grandmother and to see the joy in Mary as she spent time with Lelia!
It was also wonderful to reconnect with many of Tom's family members who I have gotten to know over the last 3 years and he's gotten to know over the last 30 :)
It was my first time in Texas. The people were incredibly friendly and the food was fabulous. I would have to say that it is very different than any other place I have ever been before. It sure doesn't look much like the east coast! While we were down there we took a look at some real estate and found the prices much more in our budget than the real estate up here. Maybe we will be living down there someday, who knows? In any case, please pray for us as we get through this incredibly hectic time of our lives...and enjoy the pictures below! Love, The Clarkes
