Accenture Match Play Tournament Success!

(Tournament staff with Tiger Woods...Jill is 4th from the right, 1 person away from Tiger)

Jill just finished managing the Accenture Match Play Tournament with the PGA Tour. She has been the manager on this event for the past 2 years and has loved her time in Tucson. But she is moving onto bigger things...the Presidents Cup in San Francisco. She will be doing the same job on that tournament and if I understand correctly it is a step up as far as the size of the event goes. She finished her 2 year stint in Arizona with a bang! She said the event went so well and she felt like it was a wonderful way to leave Tucson. Jill, we wish you all the best in your upcoming move to San Francisco, you are going to be just as successful there as you have been at all of your past work experiences. We are looking foward to the call that you are going to be promoted to Executive Director of the PGA Tour. We love you!

Tea Party

Three generations of Toomey girls had a tea party today at Reynold's Tavern to celebrate Uma's birthday. It was Lelia's first tea and she loved it! I had such a nice time honoring my mom for her birthday...we missed her real birthday (Feb. 21st) because she was traveling.

9 1/2 Weeks!

Well here is baby Clarke number 2! I am 9 and 1/2 weeks pregnant and we just had our first appointment with the specialist. Because of the medication I take for epilepsy I need to see the specialist 3 times throughout the pregnancy to make sure that the medication isn't affecting the little one. It can be stressful knowing that there is a greater risk for a problem but what is wonderful is that we get to see our baby 2 more times than most pregnant women. In the picture above you can't see a lot but I will try to explain what you can see. The head is to the right and you can see a little profile looking straight up...then toward the left upper side of the baby you can see a little foot bud sticking up. That's the baby! We got to see his/her feet moving around but that's about it. There isn't much to see at this point but the doctor said the heart beat looked great and so far no signs of anything terribly wrong. Our next sonogram appointment is on tax day and grandpa Toomey will be joining us for the big appointment to find out if Lelia will have a little sis or bro :) We will keep everyone informed. Thank you for your prayers for our new addition to the family. We already love this little person so much! Still terrified of being a mommy of two in just one short year but we'll manage. Love to all, Brooke, Tom and big sis Lelia.

We're Expecting!

Tom and I are expecting our second child on September 20th, give or take a few days. I saw the heart beat today for the first time and it looks great. I was a little concerned because this pregnancy because it has been so easy. Minor symptoms but nothing to speak of and with Lelia I was already getting sick every night by now. We are thrilled about welcoming our next baby into the world! We are also already praying for help when the baby does arrive. With the due date being when it is, it looks like Lelia and baby #2 are going to be 12 3/4 months apart!! We arer going to have our hands full. Please pray for the baby and a healthy pregnancy. Love to all! Brooke and Tom.

Tom landed yesterday

Tom called early this evening to let me know that he has arrived safely in the Middle East. We didn't talk long but I know he was happy to be there and see his friend who picked him up in the airport. Needless to say, we are missing him greatly. I appreciate him so much and all he does.

Things are going fine here at home with Lelia and me. We are staying busy by visiting with lots of friends and family. Our best days are the ones when we get out for a little while. Lelia loves to see new things and loves even more to people watch. I am convinced that good number of people at the mall have gotten complexes because Lelia stares them down and watches thier every move. It's pretty funny actually.

We can't wait for Tom to get home to hear about his trip and to all be together again. I have to admit though that I have had some really sweet bonding times with Lelia that I might not have had if Tom had been here. Every cloud has a silver lining!
